The Story of How Candymail Started (and the Team Behind It)
Candymail was born out of our absolute love for sweets and imported treats.
We launched the site during the pandemic in 2020 — a year that changed everything. Back then, we ran several family gift stores across East Anglia, but the lockdowns forced us to rethink everything.
So, in early April 2020, from our last remaining shop, we tentatively launched something new — a Mystery Box service filled with American candy and snacks, delivered to our local customers.
We had no big expectations — it was just a way to keep going until the world reopened. Everything ran through Facebook Messenger, phone calls, and Instagram. But the demand quickly grew, and it became obvious that we needed a proper website.
With help from our family and friends, Candymail.co.uk officially launched on 23rd April 2020, with just three products. It wasn’t fancy, but it was a start — and you guys showed your love from day one.
Fast-forward to today, and we’ve now served over 300,000 customers across the UK and beyond!
We’ve become the country’s most-visited imported candy store, shipping sweets and snacks from the USA, Japan, Canada, Australia, and more.

We’re a small, passionate team. When orders are flowing, everyone (yes, even the boss!) jumps in until every parcel is out the door. When things are calm, we peel off to restock, make Mystery Boxes, answer customers, and get ready for the next rush.
