Known across the globe, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are a much-loved American candy consisting of a delicious peanut butter-filled chocolate cup. With annual sales of $412 million in 2020, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups were only beaten by M&Ms in the United States for the top selling American candy brand spot.
Today Reese’s Butter Cups are made by The Hershey Company but were actually invented by H.B. Reese way back in 1928. Mr Reese worked for Hershey and left to build his own dream of owning a candy business.
In 1963 the H.B. Reese Candy Company merged with the Hershey Chocolate Corporation and since 1969, Reese’s has been the company’s best-selling chocolate brand.
